What does the first visit to a psychologist look like?

The first appointment is an introductory conversation during which the psychologist learns about your current situation, problems, and goals for further collaboration. The conversation can cover issues related to your personal life, relationships, work, or health. The specialist may ask you about medications you're currently taking or your treatment history. We meet online, and both people have their cameras on—but don't worry, it's normal for a first appointment to be a little unsettled! :)

Do I need to prepare in any way before the visit?

You don't have to, but you can if you want. For example, consider which issues are most important to you and what challenges you definitely want to discuss during your first meeting. It's okay if you forget something! Afterward, appointments are held weekly, so we'll always find time to discuss any issues you missed. Since the consultations are led by a psychologist who offers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and schema therapy, you're sure to experience an empathetic approach. Technical aspects of an online meeting can be important: Prepare a space where you can feel completely comfortable talking, and make sure your computer has access to a camera and microphone, and supports the Google Meet link you'll receive after paying for the appointment.

Will my conversations with a psychologist be confidential?

Yes, we guarantee complete confidentiality. Both psychologists and psychotherapists are obligated to maintain professional secrecy in accordance with applicable regulations. This means you can feel safe sharing your experiences. We also use platforms that ensure the highest level of security: Our website is built on the Wix platform, which offers enterprise-grade security, including data encryption using HTTPS and automatic SSL certificates. This ensures your data is protected when using our website. For online sessions and visits, we use Google Meet, which complies with the IETF security standards for DTLS and SRTP protocols. This means your conversations are protected from unauthorized access. Thanks to these solutions, you can feel safe sharing your experiences during therapy sessions.

Is online psychotherapy effective?

Yes, online psychotherapy is effective. Scientific research confirms that there are no significant differences in the effectiveness of online therapy compared to traditional in-person sessions. However, it's important to ensure appropriate conditions for sessions, such as privacy and a lack of interruptions.

Should I be worried about looking for a psychologist?

In fact, we could look at it the other way around – seeking help is an expression of self-care, not weakness. Yes, we offer support for Poles living abroad through online consultations. This means you can receive assistance in your native language, regardless of where you live.

What are the costs of online therapy and courses?

The cost of online courses depends on the package selected. The cost of psychotherapy depends on the type of support and duration. Can I combine psychotherapy with participation in online courses?

Yes, absolutely! Combining psychotherapy with online courses can be beneficial. Psychotherapy allows for individualized problem-solving, while online courses offer additional tools and knowledge to support the therapeutic process. It's worth taking advantage of workshops and programs developed by individuals who work with mental health on a daily basis and have the appropriate qualifications.
